Mojo Monday 385

It is Mojo Monday time and Julee has created another fabulous sketch, so many layers and possibilities. Let's get started, be sure to check out the mojo makers blogs for more inspiration.

To play along, just make a project using the provided sketch and upload it to your blog or online gallery. Then leave a link to your project using the linky widget at the bottom of this post. Please use a direct link to your Mojo post and not just your blog.

If you upload to online galleries, please also use tag/keyword MOJO385. Verve stamps are NOT required to participate, and you can enter as many times as you want.  As always, if you don't have a particular shape, feel free to substitute.

There is no time limit - you can always play any week at any time, but I will close the linking form on Sunday night, February 22 at 8:00pm (Mountain). That way there's no confusion which linky is the current one.

Getting Back to Scrapping

Boy, it had been a while.  How do you stay connected to your love for scrapbooking?  Sometimes our busy calendars get the best of us, and we are not able to keep up with the hobbies that we love.  Those hobbies are important.  They are good for our heart and soul.  They help us keep balanced in the craziness of our days, weeks, and months.  I have been away from scrapbooking for six months now, and I vow to never let it go that long again.  I am happy to have actually made a card for a friend going through a tough time.  Making the card was a lot of fun and made me feel great.  It also reminded me that I am so out of sorts with my favorite hobby in the world - that I could not find any of my supplies in my crafting area piled around me.  I used to be able to tell you what was exactly inside each box and container stacked here and there.  Now, I look forward to finding my groove again.  The Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, California is coming at the end of February.  So, that is perfect timing in keeping my promise to myself to get back on the scrapping horse.  xoxoxox  Anyone else going to be there?

ROCK TEAM: Foo Fighters - Times like these

Hello everyone!
It is time for a new challenge for this month of sun and holiday... This time it is FOO FIGHTERS with TIMES LIKE THESE. I love the Foo Fighters!!! And this, I think can be a beautiful inspiration to scrap some very special moments...

This is the cover:

The lyrics:

I am a one way motorway
I'm a road that drives away
and follows you back home
I am a streetlight shining
I'm a white light blinding bright
Burning off and on

It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these time and time again

I am a new day rising
I'm a brand new sky
To hang the stars upon tonight
but I
I am a little divided
Do I stay or run away
And leave it all behind?

It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these time and time again

You can join us with any type of creation, you just have to use something of this song, use some words of the lyrics, or get inspired by the cover. Please log your entry before July 28 (Eastern USA)

Here is the project I made for this challenge.  It is a get well card for a friend having surgery this week.
I had a lot of fun using distressing ink, crackle paint and pearl paint.  It was also exciting to dig into my stash and use a lot of embellishments I have been saving over the years.  And, I always love to add fibers!
